Choosing a wedding venue can become extremely complicated between all the hustle and bustle of everything else going on. You are already trying to make sure there is a beautiful dress and sharp looking tux involved, as well as a great cake and plenty of snacks.
There are so many places available in this day and age that just choosing one can be the most complicated part. Throwing in price and availability doesn t make it much easier, but that shouldn t stop you from have the wedding of your dreams. Let s go over some ways to choose a great venue for your wedding.
The first thing that should go through your mind is; How many guest have I invited?
It is important because choosing a venue to accommodate a large group of people versus having just a small gathering of friends and family makes a big difference.
For a larger group of people, you might want to think about holding your wedding at a large church or cathedral, or even think about having your wedding at an outdoor venue. Outdoor venues can make things especially easier for larger gatherings as they will allow you more room to spread out . They are also great because if you decide to have a live band play for your special day you will have much better acoustics.
Outdoor venues are also great because if you re lucky and the weather agrees with you, you will have one of the most beautiful weddings around. You can choose to hold your wedding at a large park, forested area, camp ground, reserve, beach or many other places.
If you are just having a few friends and family it might be more practical to think about choosing a smaller venue for your wedding. Churches are almost perfect for any group up to 150 people or so. You can everyone sit comfortable in the pews and than there is usually more than enough room in the reception room for everyone to have a good time. Most churches also offer you a dance floor and it is easy to get a local live DJ to come and host music for your wedding.
Churches are also great because most of them are equipped with bathrooms and kitchens which make it easier to plan out your food, and for everyone to be able to have a potty break before wedding starts.
Churches and outdoor venues aren t the only places to have your wedding though. You can also check out other places depending on your preferences. Country clubs, dances halls, mason buildings and your own home work really well too. Not to mention they all offer many different unique set ups and perks.
Choosing a wedding venue is something that really depends on what you want. Your wedding is supposed to be your most special day, don t cut it short by not holding it at a venue you can fall in love with. Choose something that is romantic and inspires you in the same ways your lover does, and you won t be unhappy.
